Max size of innodb_buffer_pool_size (8 replies)

I am using MySql-5.1.47. What is the maximum innodb_buffer_pool_size which we can give for MySql on RHEL 64 bit OS well as Mysql 32 bit OS. ?

Also I want to know required innodb_buffer_pool_size for a MySql-5.1.47 on a Machine which is having 16 GB Ram and DB size 250 GB?
